My cricut keeps saying it is already in use when I try and make a project. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, here are a couple of things to try. Close out of Design Space. Clear the browsing history in the browser that you are using. Once that is completed, close you internet browser and then open Design Space back up.

Please let us know if that helps.

I also did the firmware update when I set up the machine a few days ago. I thought I would check and see if there was another update needed and now when I click firmware update it says there is a enumerate error.

Hello Nichole,
Usually if you have not been prompted to run a firmware update you will not need to run one unless instructed by a customer service rep. If your machine is prompting you to run a firmware update and you receive the enumerate error, completely close down your browser and power off your machine.

Open up a new web browser in Chrome or Firefox, log in and click update firmware. After you update firmware screen is up, power back on your Explore. This should clear your error message. If you continue to receive the same error message, please contact customer service at 1-877-7CRICUT and they would be happy to help you out.

I had the very same problem, after several tests and help of support, the reason for my difficulty is my internet speed it is too slow.
Design Space to work properly it needs to be at least 1.0 or higher.
Now having to upgrade internet in the hope it will correct all the error messages e.g., problems getting set up and machine not being detected, machine already in use.
Explore worked with my PC at a friends home. Her internet speed must be quick enough.
Hope this information may help you.

I also have this problem. If I close everything, turn off the explore and restart the computer and start over it seems to work. Pain in the neck! Oh well, for the nicer cuts and ease it is worth it, but wish the bugs were fixed.

I've also had this problem and make sure I'm signed off the forum. I had to restart computer and I could get on. Cricut has been a pain for 3 days now and I don't know what their problem is but I'm tired of working in CCR being slow and saying not responding. My computer is a week old so it's not my computer. It took me two hours to do one little project due to "not responding". I am really sick of it and wrote them. Maybe they don't care if they loose customers. But I am mad. Hugs Patti
