I'm looking for a file to make a folder to 'present' 5x7 pictures. Ideally, it would have 4 slits to insert the picture into.

The animal shelter I volunteer at does a 'pictures with Santa' day each year. The newly formed fundraising committee would like to 'kick it up' and make it a bigger event. I think having some nice folders made with Christmas paper and doggie/kitty designs would be a way to make it a bit nicer without spending a lot of money.

Thanks in advance!

ETA: I have George, Plantin School book, and many other carts. I also have access to a few more from a school teacher friend who is also an animal lover.

When would you need this by?

I'd be happy to design something but wouldn't get to work on it till Friday night or this weekend.

The event is in early December. We have an awesome volunteer committee that will pitch in and help me cut (we cut 190 bid paddles yesterday one one Cricut in a couple of hours using several mats in an assembly line!). So, I have some time :)

Thank you so very, very much! I haven't started really trying to do much designing yet...maybe after the first of the year.

Ok. I'll get onto it tomorrow and post back here. Smile

Do you have any carts with dogs or cats on it?

Here's a very basic photo holder. It uses George.

I wanted to get this one to you now as I've got a busy weekend ahead with my DD's 14th birthday.

I thought as it's just a basic design it would be very easy to attach something to the front.

Let me know if this is the kind of thing you're after. I played a bit with making one with a scallop edge but getting the scallops the right size is a challenge. I'll spend more time on it after Sunday though.

Here's the link to the file: Photo folder

Narelle,

How did you make the slit in the folder? I've been wondering if there was a way I could do this, and now I see that there is. I'm so glad that there are such talented people on these boards.

I used a rectangle from George and using the horizontal and vertical resize handles made it as skinny as I could. Once I had it the length and width I wanted, I used the rotate handle to turn it.

Then I just copied & pasted it for the other three corners and rotated them again.

Thanks, I am going to give it a try myself. If I end up throwing my sister a baby shower, I am thinking of having people fill out a card with advise. Since I'm also making her a scrapbook, I thought it might be easier to just have slits cut into a scrapbook page that she could slide the advise cards into.
