I finally got confident enough with the toboggans to make my husband, Robby one (he is not picky..I am) ... This one turned out really good I think!... I did 16 rows of knit, purl with one strand of yarn for the rim of the toboggan...I did not pull it up through the center to make the rim of the hat... the edge was pretty enough to just fold the rim up.....a new success!!!.....Then I added the second stand of yarn and did a purl stitch for 30 more rows... I hid all the loose strings and he can reverse this and ware it on the knit side or the purl side.

Oh I love to sleep... but now cleaning... I can always think of something to knit to avoid cleaning...lol.. but then again I am a crafter!!...

Seriously I don't seem to watch any TV anymore without one of my looms in my hands... I am starting a santa hat for my Daughter to have for Christmas.

Then I need to make a longer Tam for John-Robert.

Hugs

That is so nice! My husband has been actually jealous that none of the hats I have made have been for him! I need to get him one done after our church turns in all our hats for our service project! Thanks for explaining how you made it. I am just learning the different stitches and it has been fun not having to e-wrap everything! I was getting bored, but now I need more yarn!

What a great hat! But, it is so interesting to me how we use different words for the same things. Where I live, that would be called a "toque", which rhymes with "spook", and a toboggan is something you use to slide down a hill, like the picture I attached. Isn't English funny! LOL

Oh the first Toboggan that I posted I said I know that some of you call a snow sled a toboggan but in Alabama we call at knitted cap a Toboggan.... I knew that somebody was going to send me a picture eventually...lol... my son use to date a girl that grew up up north and she laughed at us for calling them toboggans... the english language is so funny...
