I am still impatiently waiting for my cricut to arrive, but I am curious about adhesive. Someone recommended the Zig glue pen for small cricut cuts, so I bought one but alas no cricut yet. I've been watching a TON of videos on mypinkstamper's website and she uses an ATG gun. I'm going to be making some cards and 12x12 pages. :) I'm not sure I'm ready for a big gun yet, so what should I use in the mean time?
Thanks.. BigGrin

For photos use a good acid free tape like Creative Memories. For small pieces I love my Xyron X and my Xyron 510 both can be bought with coupon at Michaels!

My favourite adhesive is my creative memories tape runner. I am on the look out for a good glue for small parts so I'll be interested to see what other people suggest

I think that MamaC has it pretty well covered! Adhesive just all depends on the texture, size and density of the items you are trying to bond. Also what dimension are you looking for.

As for the ATG the real advantage is that once you have the gun the adhesive is the least expensive you can buy (Buy it on line NOT at M). The gun itself is very light weight and takes about 5 minutes to get the hang of it. Buy the gun from M with the coupon then use one of the many online places to buy the tape.

I just started to use Tombo wet adhesive the one that is white in a green bottle. It works fast and had 2 applicators,
The Sakura pen the MamaC is using is also amazing and used in different places than the zig.
For gluing on embelishments gem tac works like a charm (pun intended).

Try a little of everything because every body has a different style,

Hope that cricut arrives today.

My newest favorite is "Zip Dry". I really love this one. It's easy to remove excess glue that may ooze out from your project.

Fast drying for fast results on almost all paper types.
• Never wrinkles paper, ever! Dries crystal clear.
• Mistake-proof; easily removable when wet without leaving any residue.
• Bonds metal stampings, beads, glitter, wire, and other embellishments to paper.
• Acid and lignin-free: archival quality.
• Special precision applicator tip for accuracy

I also use the products MamaC has posted.

I have always used the Stampin Up snail (I didnt know much about other products and when I find one I like I stick with it!) What is the ATG gun? I have seen it but it looked so big I assumed it was for larger projects? I need to find something to use for my much smaller, more detailed items, and for when Im layering over something I have textured with my bigshot. I learned the hard way, my snail doenst work well for that.

I use the Creative Memories tape runner for anything with photos, and it is my absolute favourite. They used to have a mini-tape runner, whihc I will miss when the last of my hoarded refills runs out! I've just purchased an ATG, and it seems quite good. I use the Creative Memories glue pen,and while I don't love any glue pens, I like this one the best (dislike it the least11??). The Zig I find loses its stick too often, and some of the others are too blobby. But, there are times when only a glue pen will work. I also have a Xyron, which I adore for really intricate stuff.

Thank you for the picture! That is very helpful. What is the purple tape in the foreground? That is what I have been most use to seeing on youtube videos. The sticker machine looks great, but it doesn't look like much will fit into it. :)

Thank you to everyone for your advice. My cricut hasn't even shipped yet even though I bought it 11/11. I'm guessing they are backed up since it was a big sale. Keeping my fingers crossed that it comes soon.

I love the xyron machines and the sticker maker. Tiny pieces fit in the sticker maker and it
works great.
They have a small gun that looks like the ATG but smaller called Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro.
At works great! Found it at HL.
Mostly experiment!
My friend loves the zipdry too but I haven't tried it yet.
Happy scrapping!!
