Help! Just got the Paper Lace cartridge and cannot figure out how to use the font. I have one overlay with no letters on it and pushing the font key on the left doesn't help. What am I missing? I only have a small Cricut- does the cartridge only have all options using the Expression?

That sounds strange. I would think it would work on any of the cricuts. Maybe it is a defective cartridge? The font key should work.

Maybe someone else who owns this cartridge can try it too.

I had the same problem but figured it out!!! If you want to cut an uppercase G, click the FONT key, SHIFT key and then the key for G. the screen on the Cricut will say N/A but if you click CUT it will cut the uppercase G. do the same steps for any uppercase.

hope you see this and it helps. have a good one.

Hi... Got my cart yesterday. Here is what I do. Load cart and overlay -- push(light up) the font button ONLY. Now to use the alphabet I change my 'overlay' with Base Camp to find the letters I need easier. Ignoring the words that show up on the readout screen, I punch in (shift for capital letters - nothing for lower case) and press cut. Just make sure that when you go back to other function keys to change the overlay back to Paper Lace. I think I will really like this font. You can use the same process with other cartridges that does not have the letters on the overlay keys. The extra function keys on the Expression control the machine not the cartridges so the small Cricut should cut all of these just fine.

Keep the Real Dial size off.
