Hello, I know this is an awkward time to start up a swap but thought I'd put it out there. I wrote about this awhile ago, and have it in my word doc. Please let me know. I am needing to complete 3 boy scrapbooks and drawing blanks.Mad

You will be making 12 page "kits" per group. You will not be adding the 12x12 paper for it, just the "elements."
Make sure your cuts are all assembled and have cleaner edges, no snags or tears.
Include 2 layered photo mats at least 4”x6”.
Include a journal box or journal tag that represents the theme of your page
One 12”x12”- 2 inch wide Page LO word/phrase or Border which is layered
2 cuts that are 3 1/2 inch" or taller that pertains to your page design.
Please include a sketch or picture of your kit in each one just in case you have trouble logging on.

These will be due Feb. 15, 2011.
Please when you are choosing your group, decide what sort of page you may want to do so we don’t have too many the same. If you are doing a boy page, and want a girl page with the same theme, that is ok. Feel free to use the Disney carts, A Child’s year, classroom carts and many others. I was not going to have any more swaps for awhile but then the “book” for others has come up. So, who wants to play? If you finish your kits early, please feel free to send them in early that means you would get your kits back as well. For the girl kits, you can go as girly girl as you want to go, boys as playful as you want to be. Some examples of firsts or milestones are: First bath, First tooth, walking or 1st step, 1st word, and 1st holiday, 1st long car ride, 1st trip to …, baptism, daily things and candid shots and several others.

If you opt for a 2 page LO, that will count as 2 spots. We can add more groups if necessary or if there is a demand. Signups will close on Dec. 27, 2010 or until all spots filled before hand.

Oh, I wasn't going to sign up for any more swaps until I finish the 2 I am in, but this one is too good to resist. Just so I understand this correctly, we are just making up the page kits and not necessarily assembling the entire page, correct? Just coming up with the idea for the page and making all of the necessary elements and then sending them in so that each person can assemble their own pages? So I would include cardstock, patterned paper, embellishments, photo mats, journaling spot for each right? Just want to make sure I am following here :)

Please sign me up for a spot in the Boys and in the Neutral/Holidays. I am thinking for holidays I will either do Halloween or Christmas. Let me think and get back to you with which one. Boys, I am still not sure. I will figure it out :)

Hi there Jennifer. Thanks for the interest. You would NOT be including the 12x12 paper to adhere the "elements" to, but you would include the :
photo mats
border
ribbon or fibers etc.
include a pic of your "vision" of the page
Kit would need to be bagged in like a ziplock or something that keeps the pieces from falling out
(some people use brads, buttons etc to give in their kits)

Basically the person who gets the kit would need to use their own craft foam, adhesives and paper. Basically "kits" minus the paper. Love Hope that makes sense. I am hoping this catches on. Last night I tried to make more pages for those books and I am drawing blanks but have ideas for "kits" though, go figure. I can put you down and if you choose to withdraw or have a different or add'l spot just let me know.

hi

i would love to join this swap. I hosted one very similar in the fall. had just the elements, it came out really good. although we only did sets of 5.

so since this is for 12 sets, just sign me up for one set of girls right now. If I finish my other swaps (which includes a mini album) I will sign up for another spot.

If you decide to push the due date out until mid-March or if you host another one with a due date in mid-March or later, I would be interested
