Pamela posted this on face book this morning. How scary for her. Sure glad she is ok.

I have never been so terrified in my entire life. Someone set our front yard on fire. We didn't know until it very out of control. Thank god for the fire departments quick response. Even though it felt like forever! Our house is over come with smoke but it could have been much worse. So thankful we were not asleep

I have a GOOD mail guyBigGrin (Guess he is looking for a tip & cookies)

Actually I don't get mail until 3pm but if I stop at the PO, he will give me my mail especially packages.

Since you brought it up, what is customary to tip a mailman at Christmas? I spent the past 25 years in a tiny town where our mailman was like 105 years old and preferred a festively wrapped "bottle" and a plate of cookies @ the holidays. Here though I guess it's customary to "tip" the delivery person @ Christmas and I don't know what's appropriate. Anyone know?

Nice house. I have both of those papers and have used both of them in prior swaps! lol

Wonderful charm dangles too. Looks to be one of the most successful swaps I've ever seen of the type where you send in to hostess and receive back from hostess.

I have never done anything for the mailman, so can't answer that question.

and my goal is still to have my box arrive to my SS before Santa does! I need the weekend to do this swap so I'm not mailing on Saturday, for sure!

Hi all and special Hi's to my SS's. I had hoped to mail today on the way home from work but yesterday I went to find out about something I ordered a couple weeks ago thinking it would be here. I went to the website and couldn't even find the order. Weird, I thought I saw an e-mail about completing the order so I thought maybe in my wisdom did I have 2 different accounts so I went & hunted down the e-mail. I found that and then found another one that for some reason the followed up and wanted me to confirm my order (maybe a credit alert type thing) and I missed it.... my order had been cancelled!! It was something for this swap and another.

I am sure I can find what I bought for this swap but the other one I may have to hunt it down. I had hoped that ordering online would save me time in running around but guess I now need to go find it. If I can't find it quickly tonight, I will order a new one to be shipped directly to my SS and mail the box about 5:00 a.m. on the way to the show in the morning.

We are doing our annual fundraiser which has been a cattle show but this year we are adding lambs, goats to it so I will be busy tonight, all day tomorrow and Sunday. I am looking forward to this being over!! If I don't post this weekend, that is why.

No worries about the postage. I always check out each way each can be sent and priority is only a couple bucks more if not just about the same. Plus I had this gut feeling if I sent it regular mail it wouldn't get there in a timely manner!BigGrin

Haha! Our mail people would look at me like i had 3 heads if I tried to pick up a package!! But my mail lady runs about 10 am here so I usually don't have to wait long.

Yay! All my swaps are shipped for this year!

Dear SS, as always I forgot to put a card in the box! I do it every time, but rather than send a separate note like I've done in the past, I'll just give a couple hints.

#1. It's in a diaper box! LOL Which actually has logged a lot of miles, as it was sent to me from AmyMLT, in October. She used it to send a "house" so I knew it'd fit yours perfect. BigGrin

#2. I'm pretty sure I'm the only "Ma$$hole" in this swap so the postmark should give it away. (Yes, we KNOW what people call us! LOL )

#3. There's no card in the box Flapper but there's a lot of love!

I really hope you like it all; I really enjoyed making it for you!

My box is on it's way to my SS.....

After a wonderful trip out of town ...it has been a hetic week...on Wednesday a pipe broke in our neighborhood and we were without water all day....then about 4 am Thursday morning - the hubs got up for a bathroom check and woke me up when he came back to bed....we were both drifting back off to sleep when we smelled what we thought was smoke...OMG my heart stopped beating...we were both running from room to room looking for the source when we realized it was coming from the vents..it smelled like the first time you turn on your heater in the fall...that yucky musty smell but 100xs worse .... we determined there was no fire anywhere but turned off the heating unit...called to have it checked out and the repairman said a piece of insulation got sucked onto the heating coils and burnt..can't figure out where it came from but he ran all sorts of test on the system and found no problems....it was scary ... since we had a house burn just 3 doors down a few months ago (accidently fire)....but it was hard going to sleep last nite...

Looking forward to seeing all the boxes as they arrive....
