I posted this in the old thread, but I guess I posted it in the wrong place. Here you go!

____________________________________________________________

Hello Ladies:

I feel I have to apologize for not having sent my cards. I am not a flake and have never not sent something I have promised. (Not that anyone said I am...I am just saying)

Please let me explain.

Literally two days after I came on here and signed up for the 100 cards, my illness symptoms, which I have had for about three months, came to a head and I became very ill. Without getting into a long story, I will tell you that between the tests, tests, and more tests, the diagnosis was very very grim. As in...I have stage 4 uterine cancer that has matastasized into the bone. The films show the sclerotic lesions in the pelvic area.

Anyway, fast forward to yesterday.

I am a walking miracle. I am a miracle that only God could fix.

According to the doctor, my last film shows sclerotic lesions...that are DEAD! As in...NO CANCER. He is baffled. He is so baffled that he is sending me back for an MRI of the lesions, because there is no medical explanation for it.

So, I have gone from the very lowest of lows...the belief that at 45 my life was over (they estimated somewhere between 1 - 5 years), to...I AM CANCER free. I am a walking enigma, and I am telling you right here and right now that Jesus heals...He heals and He healed me!

Matthew 4:23
Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

I know I am on this private yet public board, and what I just typed is politically incorrect, and I just don't care. I have life...and while no day is ever a "given" and all our days are numbered by God, my days are looking brighter.

On the side ladies...
I have learned SO much about cancer. More than I ever care to know, but I have. Did you know that Uterine cancer is NOT what is being tested when you go for your annual pap? It is of the cervix and it is actually possible that when you are swabbed, you could not be swabbed high enough to catch cancer in the uterus, which is why it is so hard to detect. I just wanted to educate you on that. BE IN THE KNOW! Talk to your doctor about being tested.

So, regarding the cards, I have 25 that I made the day I signed up, that are made for Thanksgiving and are probably too late to send. Please let me know if I should still ship them out or keep them for next year.

Blessings ladies. Hug your loved ones, get yourself checked (which I do every year but again, the cervix/uterus thing), and have a chat with God, because I am telling you that until you hear the words "you have one to five years to live", you may never know how much you really DO believe, and find yourself talking to the Healer and Lover of our soul.

I will be sending a box of 250 cards to Pat on Mon or Tue. They are broken down as follows:

Christmas: 129
Hanukkah: 68
Kwanzaa: 35
General: 9
Birthday: 9

I mailed Thanksgiving card last time. Also, decided to get a "jump" on the other holiday.

I am from the Pacific where do I send the cards?
Don't have a total yet will let you know in a couple
of days. I did cards for Soldiers a couple of years ago
had to take some time away for medical problems. So hope
to be back for full duty soon.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for sharing your cancer miricle with us Cynthia, I am so happy for you. I am also a survivor but mine is minor compared to yours, still very scary when you hear those words. Anyway my prayers are with you.
Back to cards i am putting 35 Thanksgiving and general in the mail in the next day or two, then I will start some Christmas and sprinkle in some general.

Arrived very late yesterday (not sure what held the mail person up). Debra, they were perfect.

Pat

I've been AWOL with respect to cards as of the last few months due to an accident wherein I fractured my left wrist quite badly. However, I have been watching/reading the challenge postings and am putting in the mail 86 cards (East Coast), some are Xmas cards. I have been attempting to make cards -- it just takes me a lot longer to get them done. Will keep at it.

Deb, I will keep an eye out for your box (probably on Tues).
I received 2 boxes today from Victoria and Susan. Thanks ladies for the great cards and postage help...
I have set the Christmas cards aside and hope to get all the Thanksgiving out next week. Hoping to find some Thanksgiving decorations to include in the boxes. Like those turkeys and pumpkins that unfold. Thinking bags of candy corn would be fun also.

are we doing another holiday card push? I have several ready to go, but I haven't had a chance to get to the post office, so I am not sure if I should keep adding to it and send it next time or send them late for this time? Thanks! :)

Diane G, your Christmas card came in the mail today, thank you.
I will start this weekend sorting the cards I have received. I plan on mailing the box of Thanksgiving/Fall cards towards the end of next week. I will also add a few goodies if I have room in the box. Pat, your idea of adding decorations is great. I bet the troops don't have much of that. The Dollar Store probably has some.

There will be another Christmas and Hanukah push but any Thanksgiving cards will need to be mailed with this group. Thanks for your support.
