There are small slit marks, use a bone folder to bend at the slits. Then fold each flap parralell across to the other one. Then bend each folded, section in. This will create the Explosion Box.

Hi! This is the first time I have ever been to this site & I also wanted to try and make the Flower Explosion box... But I also found the instructions hard to follow. Once I figured them out, I realized that a second cartridge was needed in order to complete the project... that being the "Flower Shoppe Cartridge" but this was not included. So in fact, we CAN NOT COMPLETE THIS PROJECT.... which is very disappointing. :-(

Wish there were better instructions, or even a video. I checked on youtube, but couldn't find anything. :(

You have to change the default height to 3.5 inches down in the bottom center of your screen

I have the same problem with their directions. It seems that if it cuts out at 8 inches, when folded up the square base is 2 1/2 inches

I am a new Cricut user and am not sure how to follow instructions yet. I love your exploiding box and am keen to do something similar for Mothers Day. Where there is a number eg 3.5 in the bracket, what does this refer to? Is it 3.5 inches square, wide or height? I would really appreciate any advice given to get me started. Anne
