Christmas cupcake wrappers I made for some homemade cupcakes

CRICUT ®: WHAT WAS USED

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • cardstock of your choosing
  • patterened paper
  • red and green glitter paper
  • circle punch
  • scallop punch
  • flat toothpicks
  • adhesive
  • holiday greeting stamps
  • red and green ink

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Cut out patterned paper for wrapper at 2 1/4 inches. I find this measurement to be a perfect fit for the typical cupcake. I've seen many go with a bigger cut, but I think it overpowers the cupcake.
Cut out in matching cardstock at 2 1/4. Wrap each cut piece individually, then place the one inside the other, it sits together much better that way, then glue if you please...I didn't, it stayed in place and I liked the matted look.
Cut glitter green and glitter red scallops. If making 24 cupcakes, you want to cut out double the amount of scallop circles, in this case 48. TIP: in order to match up your scallops, back to back, you'll have to flip the punch and cut from the backside once you reach your 25th scallop and so on. Color flat toothpicks matching color and glue it between two scallops.
Cut out circles with white cardstock, stamp greeting and ink edges, pop dot and add to scallops. Decorate your cupcakes and place them in the wrappers, stick in the toppers and you're done.
