STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

Base and Left Side: Use "Chevron" 12x12 paper (from DCWV "Linen Closet") as base. Cut a 1" strip of "Striped" paper (from DCWV "Linen Closet"); adhere to left side of base paper. Cut another (1"x4") piece of striped paper, and set aside. Using scalloping scissors or a paper edger, cut/edge the dark teal card stock, and then cut a thin strip off; adhere to left side of base paper, on top of striped paper. Add a piece of miscellaneous lace (mine was tan/beige) on top of the dark teal card stock.
Ride Side: Cut a 12"x4" piece of "Starburst" (from DCWV "Linen Closet"). Cut it in half so that you have a piece that's about 8" and another that's about 4". Then cut about a 1/4" off of the smaller piece; set aside. Cut about a 12"x 4 1/2" piece of light blue card stock and adhere it about 1 1/2" from right side of base paper. Layer the longer "Starburst" piece on top of the light blue card stock, starting from the top. Repeat with the shorter "Starburst" piece, starting at the bottom of the light blue card stock. Using larger scalloped scissors/paper edger, edge a piece of "Small Flowered" (DCWV "Linen Closet") and cut a strip about 12"x1"; repeat a second time so that you have 2 strips. Adhere 1 strip on either side of the "Starburst" and light blue card stock piece.
Cricut Shape: Cut one "Save the Date", phrase (cut it at 4" or so), from Cricut cartridge "Sweethearts" (pg. 48). Use the dark teal card stock for the Shadow function, and the beige/cream card stock for the phrase image.
Adding photos and Adhering: Tie a piece of Baker's Twine around your 4x6 photo, with the knot on the front of the photo; mat your photo with the dark teal card stock. Place (don't adhere yet) the matted photo a little lower than the middle on the right side, about 2" over from the base paper's edge. Cut various lengths of jute and miscellaneous ribbon, and a small piece of beige/cream card stock; adhere under the matted photo (remember the matted photo hasn't been glued down yet!) Now adhere the photo over the ribbons. Using the 1"x4" piece of striped paper that you set aside from earlier, adhere it to the right side of matted photo, overlapping the "Small Flowered" scalloped strip. Adhere the "Save the Date" shape to the top right corner of the matted photo, overlapping the corner of the striped paper also. If desired, use adhesive photo corners on a second, smaller photo, and tuck under the small piece of beige/cream card stock.
Embellish! Add the "date" - number stickers to the small piece of beige/cream card stock. Add a large brad embellishment/flower (from "The Sweetest Thing" collection - My Mind's Eye) to the top left corner, and a cluster of white flowers and floral accents to the bottom right corner. Add a metal butterfly (or any other charm, etc.), another white flower, and a few more brads above the "Save the Date" phrase/shape. Add another brad embellishment from "The Sweetest Thing" collection to the bottom left corner.
Journal! Add another piece of beige/cream card stock to the bottom of the shorter "Starburst" piece (how ever big you need it, but not bigger than the of bottom area of the "Starburst" piece); add journaling.
